ABOUT THE AUTHOR
J.R. Roberts is otherwise known as Robert J. Randisi, an American author who writes in the detective and Western genres. He has authored more than 500 published books and has edited more than 30 anthologies of short stories. Booklist magazine said he "may be the last of the pulp writers." He co-founded and edited Mystery Scene magazine and co-founded the American Crime Writers League. He founded The Private Eye Writers of America in 1981, where he created the Shamus Award. To date he has written almost 400 books in The Gunsmith series alone.

Looking for a little relaxation and a change of pace the Gunsmith (Clint Adams) goes to Southern California. There on the beach he discovers a teen aged girl being chased by three men.The book is kind of a rambling mystery about who her pursuers are and what they want. A second mystery revolves around the girl's friend, a beautiful Light House Keeper. Does her Lighthouse really contain hidden Gold?
This one seems a little light on plot and heavier on Carnal Action if that is your preference. Still you can't go wrong with a Robert J Randisi ( J R Roberts real name ) novel. I always enjoy them.
ProSe Press does another excellent job production wise in this easy to read large size format. I am happy to report this one seemed typo free.

I just can't get enough of the Gunsmith. J R Roberts is becoming my second best western novelist, right behind Louis L'Amour.
Nothing like a little raw sex to liven up a western story! Good fast read to pass some time with. My first 'Gunsmith' read.
